The first step is to get a map of the island. They’re available just about anywhere in the airport or from your car rental agency. To reach
Palm Villa by car, follow the Island map along the southern end of the Island through Charlotte Amalie, all the way to Route 32. This is an up- and down-hill drive with some beautiful and breath-taking views [and
curves]. It takes a while. You won’t get lost.
Follow Route 32 past the National Guard Armory [it looks like every other one you’ve seen, on the left]. Watch for Route 322 coming up, about a
half mile on your right. Turn right. [You’ll see a sign for the Ritz Carlton, unless they take it down.]
Again, beautiful and breath-taking curves. Follow 322 almost to the end. [It’s the only paved and lined road.] Drive past Cowpet Bay West. Just
before you get to the Ritz Carlton, turn right. You’ll see a sign for Cowpet Bay East.
Turn right again at the first road on your right. This is Tracy Way, the entrance to Cowpet Bay East. You’ll see mailboxes on your right as you
make the turn.
Palm Villa [21 Tracy Way] is two-thirds of the way down on your right.
